Valentine is the Executive Vice Chairman at Emval Nigeria Limited and the CEO of Emval Holdings Limited.  Valentine studied Mechanical Engineering at Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA and joined Emval in January, 1998. He began work at Emval as a Wellhead Trainee Engineer and has subsequently held positions as Operations Superintendent, Executive Director Operations, Deputy Managing Director and eventually became the Group Managing Director in 2011.  Val’s role more recently transitioned to that of the Executive Vice Chairman of Emval Nigeria Limited in April 2022.

Over the past 12+ years, Valentine has championed and presided over a number of the company’s growth initiatives. These include the development of various technical partnerships for new services Emval provides to the oil & gas sector; establishment and growth of Submar West Africa Limited (a new line of business), Restructuring of all companies as high-performance organizations and expansion outside of Nigeria.

Valentine is a graduate of the Owner/Presidents Management program at Harvard Business School and is a member of Society of Petroleum Engineers, APICS (Association for Operations Management) and Former Publicity Secretary for Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria.
