Oby holds a B.S. in Industrial Management and an M.S. in Public Policy and Management with a dual concentration in Financial Analysis and Information Systems Management from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh.  She briefly worked as a Financial Analyst at Mellon Bank, Pittsburgh, and then spent the rest of her career in the United States working at Goldman Sachs in New York.  Oby spent 12 years at Goldman Sachs were she was a Vice President and worked in the Technology division managing projects.

Oby joined Emval in December 2014 as its Chief Strategy Officer with a goal to facilitate in the company’s efforts to capitalize on the opportunities that exist in the Oil & Gas sector and other sectors of Nigeria.  In 2016, her role expanded to include that of the Chief Administration Officer, as she works with the company to streamline and optimize its support and administrative functions.
